Carefully peel the completed flower off the pressing sheet.  It's helpful to use the stiletto again, this time to slip between the pressing sheet and the flower.  Take a little time to peel the piece away to ensure that all the components stay nicely together.

The flower has been completely removed from the pressing sheet and  I've laid it on the pattern to demonstrate how perfectly it's all come together.

All that's left to do is fuse the flower to the background fabric and stitch just the outer edges of the appliqué!

Regardless of whether you do the interior stitching ahead of time, as I have, I think it's easy to see what an invaluable tool a non-stick pressing sheet is for assembling fusible appliqué.

Next time... I'll demonstrate using a light box, with the pattern sandwiched between the light box and the  background fabric, to accurately place the completed, major elements onto the background fabric.

See you again soon ... !
